The Pompeii Trust
  THE POMPEII TRUST


For ten years, the Anglo-American Project in Pompeii has been excavating and studying a whole neighborhood of ancient Pompeii. Along with scientific archaeological exploration, the Project is dedicated to preserving the heritage of Pompeii for future generations. To this end, the Pompeii Trust was established in 2002. Its purposes are:
to advance the education of the public by promoting the study of and research relating to the archaeology, art, history, culture, architecture and antiquities of Pompeii and its neighbouring regions including excavation and publication

the preservation, restoration, improvement, enhancement and maintenance of all objects, artefacts, structures or antiquities of architectural, historical or archaeological interest relating to Pompeii and its neighbouring regions.

The Pompeii Trust was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in the United Kingdom on June 21 2002 (Company number 4467251). It is a registered UK Charity (number 1094869). Fully tax deductable donations in the USA are made through the kind cooperation of the Foundaion for the Preservation of the Archaeological Heritage (IRS registration number 13-310-0199).
